Title
A Study of Lossless Coding of Speech Signals Using Backward Adaptive Prediction (modified ver.)
Abstract
This paper describes a method of audio lossless coding. A predictive coding named ADPCM is used in this paper. The lossless coding circuit is designed by improving an ordinary coding circuit. Durbin algorithm and backward adaptive prediction are treated as a method that renews predictive coefficients. The Laplacian probability density function is employed as a codebook. As the result of the audio lossless coding experiment, both encoding and decoding were achieved and the compression capacity was improved compared with past audio lossless coding tools.
